Good psychiatric care can make the difference between being happy or unhappy, productive or lazy, lively or lethargic. The roots of these differences may run deep, and Boca Integrative Health’s thorough and ongoing evaluation and comprehensive care will maximize your opportunity to dramatically improve your life.
What’s more, our psychiatrists recognize that mental and emotional difficulties may manifest in a variety of ways, including fatigue/body pain, weight change, depression, sleep disturbances, poor concentration and excessive worry.
There may be many approaches to improving your mental and emotional wellness. Certainly, some patients find that traditional talk therapy, where they are guided to a better understanding of the causes of challenges so that they can be better addressed, is important. Other patients may suffer from chemical imbalances in the brain that need to be corrected through medication. Still others find better mental wellness by improving diet and compensating for nutritional deficiencies they never knew they had and other doctors never tested. For many patients, mental health is optimized by a combination of therapies that together put the pieces of the better-life puzzle together.
Our psychiatric practitioners work diligently to find the right mix of therapies that optimize health and focus on successful outcomes.
Our practitioners are experts in treating (in no particular order!):
• Eating Disorders (anorexia, bulimia, obesity)
• Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Excessive Worry
• Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Substance Abuse
• Bipolar Disease (manic depression)
Our psychiatric practitioners do not participate in any insurance plans. This does not mean, however, that insurance will not pay anything for psych visits. We may be out of network, but our office staff will be happy to provide you with the necessary forms so you can file with your insurance company, and many of our patients get reimbursed a good percentage of the cost of the visit from their insurance companies. Check with your insurer.
