Dr. Meryl Rome

Dr. Rome is the founder and owner of Boca Integrative Health. She is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her internship at Cornell-Presbyterian Hospital and Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and then returned to Albert Einstein for her residency in General Psychiatry, staying on to complete a Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry. In 1996, she was privileged to be awarded the Outstanding Resident Award for excellence in psychiatric medicine from the National Institute of Mental Health. Prior to moving to Florida, she served as Assistant Clinical Director and Director of Forensic Psychiatry at Rockland Psychiatric Center, a 450 bed inpatient facility in New York.

Since arriving in Florida in 2000, Dr. Rome has been associated with various institutions including the Renfrew Center (eating disorders and women’s mental health). Dr. Rome is a published author. She has spoken publicly on various subjects related to her field and been called and qualified as an expert witness in several court cases.
