Jodi Weissman, A.R.N.P., C.S., Ph.D. is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She received her B.S.N. (Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing) in 1987 from Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y. and began specializing in Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing in 1988.
After receiving her M.S.N. (Master of Science in Nursing) in 1992 from F.A.U. (Florida Atlantic University) in Boca Raton, Florida with a focus on Family and Psychiatric Nursing, Jodi earned her license as a Nurse Practitioner in 1995 and became Board Certified as a C.S. (Clinical Specialist) in Child/Adolescent Mental Health Nursing in 1997. As a nurse practitioner, Jodi is licensed to prescribe most psychiatric medication as needed.
In 1997, Jodi began focusing her private practice on individual, family, and group therapy and medication management. She is now a team leader at The Renfrew Center of Coconut Creek, Florida, a private residential facility specializing in the treatment for women and eating disorders. Jodi specializes in individual and family psychotherapy and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, OCD, and trauma.
Jodi Weissman also holds a Doctorate in Holistic Nutrition and is a nutritional health coach who teaches patients how to develop healthy eating patterns in order to reach their optimal potential. Jodi’s emphasis is teaching mindfulness and utilizing alternative approaches to achieve sustainable ways of maintaining a healthy nutritional lifestyle.
